Vanessa Simmons and Candice Cuoco joined forces to deliver a powerful fashion show during the Los Angeles Fashion Week. The line featured women of all shapes, heights and ethnicities. Bad Butterfly is a line for every woman and based on what was displayed on the runway, it shows.



Prior to, Vanessa had a successful shoe line called Pastry alongside her younger sister, Angela Simmons. While Candice has a background in fashion and design. She was also a finalist on Fashion Runway Season 14. The two met while on the set where Vanessa was a judge and Candice was a contestant. Fast forward to present day and the ladies are making moves in the right direction with Bad Butterfly. The fashion designers have promised to offer more where that came from in the near future.

LA Fashion Week (LAFW) celebrates its fourth season of collections running March 17-19, kicking off the Fall/Winter event series on March 16th, 2017 with its Opening Reception at the Rooftop Loft at the W Hollywood, hosted by Vanessa Simmons. Her collaboration with designer Candice Cuoco will be unveiled at an exclusive engagement on Sunday, March 19th in a bookend closing to LAFW FW17.

LA Fashion Week has done an amazing job of bringing these elements together, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience my take on contemporary cool. Collaborating with Candice on Bad Butterfly has been incredible. She has completely taken me out of my comfort zone as a designer, and has been teaching me the true fundamentals of fashion and design. This collection has transformed my skills and I’m super proud to be a part of something so amazing,” says Simmons.


LA Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2017 shows will explore new ways of highlighting each brand’s vision… Project Runway alumni Candice Cuoco and host Vanessa Simmons partner up to close out the FW17 season on Sunday, March 19 with the debut of their collaborative collection Bad Butterfly.

It feels like just yesterday we were witnessing Vanessa Simmons’ transition into adulthood on MTV’s Run’s House and then evolve into a fashionista on her spinoff, Daddy’s Little Girls.


The reality star has since blossomed into a mother, business owner and fashion designer who will be showing off her new line during LA Fashion Week.


Simmons recently teamed up with Project Runway alum, Candice Cuoco, for a one-of-a-kind collection called Bad Butterfly, something HipHollywood had a chance to chat with the beauty about.


“I’m super excited to present that to the world,” VS told HH while on the red carpet for the 2017 Essence Black Women in Hollywood event.

The mom and judge on Centric hit show Queen Boss stopped by the red carpet at the 10th annual Black Women in Hollywood and dished on her new fashion collection set to debut at LA Fashion Week.


Teaming up with designer Candice Cuoco, Simmons gushed about the new line revealing that fans would be able to find out more [soon].


Simmons of course is not at all new to the fashion game. The star teamed up with her sister Angela Simmons back in 2007 to launch sneaker line Pastry.

Queen Boss Judge Vanessa Simmons announced the debut of her new fashion line at the 10th Annual Black Women in Hollywood event. She’s teaming up with Candice Cuoco, a designer who was a finalist on Project Runway and has been featured at fashion shows in Paris and London.


Vanessa is no stranger to the fashion world. Back in 2005 she teamed up with her baby sis, Angela Simmons to launch the sneaker line Pastry which grossed over $50 million world-wide. She also did hosting duties for Project Runway which was also a success, proving that she is a true fashionista!


Vanessa’s new fashion collection will debut at LA Fashion Week next month. We can’t wait to see what styles and designs she’ll be sharing!
